Day 4 - Belgian Dark Chocolate Non-Pareils

We bought these for the first time on the recommendation of a friend of David’s.  Let’s just say – everyone has their own taste, and these candies were not ours…  We were excited to try them (after all – they were RECOMMENDED!) but they did not live up to our expectations.

And that brings us to an amazingly awesome thing about Trader Joe’s – if you do not like something, they take it back.  They want to know!!  They like to hear your feedback!!  So after buying these, bringing them home, and trying a couple, we returned them to the store on our next visit.  And they were HAPPY to take them back and give us a refund or exchange.  They are so sweet about it.

Here is what we thought – the chocolate candies were just too THICK and hard.  They were difficult to bite.  They were not simple little niblets, like other non-pareils are.  They were thick, chunky bits of chocolate.  Eating them just wasn’t enjoyable, so back they went.  They weren’t cheap ($4.49), but trust me, we just exchanged them for other chocolates that were more to our liking J

    1. Hi Beth! You know, if you have been curious about these, you might wanna try them yourself, too. We have a friend (Karen) who adores them! And the friend who recommended them to David really likes them, too! So they may just not be OUR taste. If you do try them please let me know what you think.

The Trader Joe's Chocolate Covered Coffee Beans - now you have my mouth watering... Are they in a small metal tin near the checkout? I seem to remember getting soemthing like that a couple years ago. Or are they in a bigger plastic tub by the rest of the sweets? If it's the big tub, we have NOT gotten them. Sometimes the tubs seems too large for our small family. But I WILL GET THEM! And try them. And review them here! :)
