Day 152 - Cinnamon Crumb Coffee Cake Mix

This was our first time buying this product.  I really liked the packaging, it looked like something that could have come out of a 1950’s American kitchen - very retro.

The cake was both easy and fun to make.  Well, I say “easy” but for us it involved a quick trip to the neighbors’ house at 9:30 PM because we realized we had no FLOUR and needed to butter and flour the pan…  But that is no fault of Trader Joe’s J.  And the neighbors were keen to assist.

The cake was also tasty!  I would say that the crumb part is especially good.  The cake was moist the first time we had it, but dried out a bit (even though we stored it covered) for the second eating.  As the name would suggest, it goes well with coffee (and it also makes the coffee taste better!).

This is not the best crumb cake I have ever tasted, but paired with a cup of java it is a good way to start your day.
